Our Story
Essential Marketer was founded in 2007 by Steve Feeney, whose passion for online marketing began long before Google became a household name.
Steve’s journey started in 1999, at the dawn of search engines and digital advertising. In 2003, he launched Essential Loans, a finance brokerage that reached a £36 million turnover in just three years, powered entirely by his online marketing strategy.
When the credit crunch hit in 2007 and lenders withdrew from the market, Steve pivoted. Rather than let his expertise go to waste, he founded Essential Marketer, built on the same principles that drove his success: clarity, strategy and measurable performance.
From humble beginnings in Birmingham, we’ve grown into a respected digital marketing agency with clients across the UK. And while much has changed, our purpose remains the same – to help businesses succeed online through intelligent, results-led marketing.
